To qualify to compete, contestants must meet the following criteria:
- have led restaurants of caliber for at least three years (as a sous chef or higher) (this is flexible)
- an educational background in culinary (Bachelor’s or higher)
- demonstrated innovation and accomplishment in their experience
- have substantive kitchen management skills

The ten finalists for each Cookoff in Delhi and Mumbai will be unveiled on April 20th
The cookoff will be on April 23rdin Mumbai and April 30thin Delhi.
