NEWS | Berberoglu takes on leadership role with Kempinski

Amid ongoing expansion in the region, Kempinski Hotels has announced the appointment Bugra Berberoglu to the role of senior vice president, regional operations, India, Middle East & Africa. Berberoglu was promoted from his position as the general manager of the landmark Abu Dhabi hotel, Emirates Palace, which is managed by Kempinski. Kempinski Hotels, Europe’s oldest luxury hotel brand, currently operates sixteen hotels in the Middle East, Africa, & India with plans to double its regional portfolio by 2015. Performance in the region continues to increase year on year and Beberoglu will assume responsibility for the overall operations of the region to ensure that Kempinski continues to maintain a premium on its growing portfolio of landmark properties.

Commenting on his new role Berberoglu stated: “This region has been a key driver in the successful expansion of Kempinski’s global portfolio and contributes more than one third of its overall revenues, with Abu Dhabi’s Emirates Palace being the highest fee-earning properties for the company. “I will now work with all the hotels in the region to ensure a consistent delivery of Kempinski luxury standards, and secure our position as a key player in this region.”
