The property's owners, Tallahassee-based Hunter and Harp Hospitality, are expected to complete the deal with Louisville, Kentucky based Schulte Hospitality by late October.
Hunter and Harp's Chad Kittrell said: "Our entrepreneurial goal at Hunter+Harp has always been to identify a need in the market and bring a new experience to Tallahassee.
By developing, creating and selling a successful business like Hotel Duval, this affords us the opportunity to reinvest in new ventures in our community." Hunter and Harp Hospitality first purchased the 117-room hotel in 2007 and completed a multi-million dollar renovation.
The hotel, a member of Marriott's Autograph Collection, reopened in 2009 with meeting space and several restaurants.
