NEWS | Flagship InterCityHotel to open near Berlin Central Station

A new InterCityHotel due for completion by the end of 2013 is under development in the Lehrter district of central Berlin, just to the South of the city's Central Station. The hotel will offer 412 modern rooms of 21 m2 in size, a restaurant and a BistroLounge. Its conference area will extend over 800 m2 including foyer and ancillary areas.

Interstate Hotels & Resorts announced the opening of Holiday Inn Express The Hague on Dec. 21, 2012, representing the first Holiday Inn Express to open in The Hague. The 123-room hotel, with a prime location next to the Dutch Parliament and the American Embassy, is the fifth hotel managed by Interstate to open in The Netherlands, and resulted from a partnership between Interstate and The Vincent Hotel Group (TVHG). “As we progress in our global expansion strategy, we’re confident in the success of our efforts in The Netherlands, a market with high demand for well-known international hotel brands,” said Jim Abrahamson, chief executive officer of Interstate Hotels & Resorts. “Through our strong partnership with a leading hotel developer in The Netherlands, TVHG, and exceptional brand relationships, we’re certain the introduction of the Holiday Inn Express brand into The Hague will be a success.” An ideal surrounding for future guests, The Hague boasts historic character and diverse choices in shopping, dining, entertainment and museums, such as the Mauritshuis, Panorama Mesdag and Louwman Museum.
