KFC India has launched its maiden digital only campaign, aiming to bring alive the Krushers experience for net-savvy teenagers across the country. The company has come out with a Facebook initiative called ‘Krushers Komics’ and a digital video channel on YouTube to drive the campaign further.
The initiative allows the facebook users of KFC to input graphics such as pictures, names and a couple of favorite catchphrases into a storyline to form a graphics novel which can be shared with other users.

NEWS | After McDonald's, now KFC hints at raising prices

fter McDonald's recent move to raise prices for the second time in India this year, fast-food behemoth KFC India is also hinting that prices could be raised.
Tarun Lal, general manager, KFC India & Area Countries, said, "Due to very strong inflationary pressures and our business needs, we will be compelled to look at prices.
However, our core values mean offering the best at the most compelling prices. We would like to keep consumers' interest in mind, and realise that there is inflationary pressure on them as well. So, we will relook at prices for some items. Our recently launched WOW range, priced at only Rs.25, will remain untouched."
This week, Hardcastle indicated that Happy Meals won't be happy anymore by announcing increase in its prices by further five to six per cent-the second price hike by the company in a year-due to the economic slowdown, rising inflation and the increase in service tax.
NEWS | KFC to provide loans to eateries to set up in-house food testing labs
The Kerala Financial Corporation (KFC) recently launched a scheme to provide loans to hotels, restaurants and food processing units across the state to set up in-house food testing labs and waste management plants (which are the need of the hour) in the small and medium sector.
The loan eligibility is to the extent of 90 per cent of the total project cost for units that are currently availing the loan facility from the corporation, and 75 per cent of the total project cost for new units.

NEWS| KFC, Pizza Hut's parent co Yum under ED's lens
US-based Yum Restaurants, which owns the franchise of KFC and Pizza Hut in India, has come under the Enforcement Directorate's (ED) scrutiny for allegedly failing to bring in Rs 390 crore ($80 million) foreign investment in the country after getting the government approval.

Yum was granted permission by the Foreign Investment Promotion Board (FIPB) in 1993 where it had said it will bring in 80 million dollars in India in two years in two tranches of 40 million dollars each. Besides, it had also said that its business in India would be "foreign exchange-neutral".
The company, however, brought in $35.5 million only, allegedly leading to a violation of the Foreign Exchange Management Act, and also the FIPB licence agreements, sources said.
he authority has sent show-cause notices to the company on alleged FEMA violations involving more than Rs 668 crore, sources said.
