StayWell Hospitality to open 5 hotels in India this year

Australia-based StayWell Hospitality Group plans to add five hotels with around 550 rooms in India by the end of 2016, targeting mid- and up-scale segments as part of its expansion plans in the country. Currently, the group has three operational hotels in India and is planning to open five new hotels at Hyderabad, Goa, Jodhpur, Mumbai and Greater Noida.

More upscale international hotels to open

PETALING JAYA: Malaysia is attracting more upscale international hotel names with the scheduled opening of a number of new properties in the country in the next few years.Industry observers said this development would spur greater depth and product offerings in the local hospitality sector.

Magic Holidays, a timeshare product from the Panoramic Group of Companies, plans to target the Indian middle class with lucrative offers of affordable time share vacations. The company plans to open 100 resorts of 25-30 keys each in the next five years. NEWS | Accor opens Novotel Moscow City

Accor recently opened Novotel Moscow City, its fifth in Moscow and 16th in Russia. The hotel, which is the first and only hotel in Moscow’s international business centre Moscow City, is a co-project with Tashir, a Russian real estate developer and holding company, and with the diversified investor CJSC Soglasie. 

The total investment by the two partners amounted to USD 160 million. Accor operates the hotel under a long-term management contract, as per a release. Novotel Moscow City offers 360 rooms, featuring ergonomic writing desks and free Wi-Fi, as well as a doc-station and a Philips connectivity panel for PCs and iPods.
