MBD Group, India's largest publishing house has tied up with Carlson Hospitality Worldwide (Radisson) in order to come up with a new concept of mixed- use development "MBD Neopolis" in the northern region particularly in Ludhiana. For the first time in Punjab, there will be a real estate development that is a combination of a five star deluxe hotel and a mall with multiplex. The hotel will be named Radisson MBD and it will be wholly owned and managed by the MBD Group.The construction work of this Rs 100 crore mega project is expected to be commissioned by the end of this year. In addition, the group is also planning to come up with new project MBD Zephyr with a seven- star hotel in Bengaluru.
Sonica Malhotra, Director, MBD Neopolis, said that the hotel will be located from the fifth floor upwards till the ninth floor with proper access control for its guests. The hotel will have world-class banqueting and conference facilities large enough to accommodate more than 2000 people, with breakaway halls and separate entrances for high profile events and marriages.
With a total of 8,00,000 sq. ft development spread over four acres and a capital investment of Rs.100 crores, MBD Neopolis is located on the main Ferozepur road, one of the arterial roads in Ludhiana. Radisson MBD hotel will have a mix of fine dining options and specialty restaurants serving Indian and Chinese cuisine. The other facilities will include a club complete with squash courts, tennis courts, bridge rooms, private dining rooms and a swimming pool, a state-of-the art spa & fitness centre – with trained therapists, private spa suites, a sprawling fitness centre and a salon. The Radisson MBD hotel will also house three levels of luxury arcade called 'NUOVO', with a private, 'made to pamper' lounge.
