The 87-room Park Plaza Lhasa City Center will be located along one of Lhasa's main streets in the newly developed city center. When the hotel opens in 2010, guests will have easy access to all parts of the city, including the Qinghai-Tibet Railway and the Lhasa Gonggar Airport, which offers flights to major cities in China as well as an international connection to Kathmandu, Nepal. The Park Plaza Faridabad, India is scheduled to open in the first quarter of 2010 and will feature 80 rooms. Faridabad is known as the Industrial Capital of the state of Haryana and is its most populated city.
Park Plaza Hotels in Europe also signed a new hotel in Amsterdam under their art'otel by Park Plaza brand. Scheduled to open in 2011, the art'otel amsterdam, by Park Plaza will offer guests approximately 100 rooms, an art cafe, and a ground-floor and basement public space dedicated to showcasing cultural and social activities. The hotel will be located in the heart of Amsterdam, directly opposite the city's main railway station.
