The Gateway Hotel today announced its plans to foray into Punjab with the signing of two new hotels - The Gateway Hotel Chandigarh and The Gateway Hotel Ludhiana. With this announcement, the brand makes a major foray into the state of Punjab. The Gateway Hotel in association with The Hind Motors Group will develop a 100 room property in Chandigarh in the very heart of the city. At Ludhiana, the brand will partner with Sapna Hospitality, to build a 125 room hotel. With this development The Gateway Hotel increases its overall portfolio to 36 hotels across the country and further cements its presence across all major cities in India. It is the largest brand in its category.
Gateway also continues its aggressive growth rate of adding a new hotel to its portfolio every two months. The brand, targeted at the modern nomad was launched in September 2008. The Gateway Hotel is a pan India network of upscale hotels and resorts, catering to the emerging needs of the contemporary traveler. Its portfolio consists of 20 operating hotels and 16 under development.
