Hilton Grand Vacations ("HGV") today announced the official debut of Elara, a Hilton Grand Vacations Club, coinciding with the launch of resort operations management by the timeshare brand of Hilton Worldwide. The announcement follows a series of recent transactions at the sleek 52-story, 1201-unit property, prominently located on the prime Center Strip of Las Vegas, Nevada.
In November, 2011, LV Tower 52, LLC ("LV Tower") acquired a controlling interest in Planet Hollywood Towers by Westgate and appointed Hilton Grand Vacations to rebrand the property and provide future vacation ownership sales and marketing services. Most recently LV Tower appointed HGV to oversee the resort's condominium association, timeshare interval reservations, and on-site resort maintenance and resort operations. The more than 17,000 existing Westgate owners of the property will continue to enjoy the full ownership rights and benefits associated with their original purchase from Westgate Resorts as well as their exchange privileges with Interval International. The resort opened in late 2009 as the largest single vacation ownership building in the world.
