A British national, Shaf Butt (photo on the left) has recently been promoted to the position of Director of Marketing for the Dubai Commercial Team. Shaf joined Jumeirah Group in 2007, initially responsible for Rooms Marketing at Madinat Jumeirah – The Arabian Resort.In 2009 he was promoted to Director of Marketing - Rooms for the Dubai hotels. Before joining Jumeirah, Shaf held key marketing positions for companies such as Carphone Warehouse in London, UK and Axiom Telecom in the Middle East. He holds a degree in Media from the University of Southampton, England. In this new role, Shaf will be responsible for leading the whole Dubai Marketing function for Jumeirah’s Hotels & Resorts in Dubai.
