Ginger Hotels of Roots Corporation Limited has launched its second property in Chennai, today, located at Vadapalani. The 79-room hotel was inaugurated by Venu Srinivasan, Chairman, TVS Motor Company Ltd and Sundaram Clayton Ltd. While the first Ginger Hotel in Chennai at IITM Research Park caters to the corporate segment in the southern part of the city,
the second hotel aims to address the need of business travellers and entrepreneurs of small and medium businesses in the northern part of the city. Speaking on the launch, Prabhat Pani, CEO & Director, Roots Corporation Limited, said, "We are happy to open our second hotel in Chennai. The first Ginger Hotel has been well received in Chennai as it holds tremendous potential for this innovative category of hotels. The new hotel will meet the needs of business travellers visiting Chennai." The property is centrally air-conditioned. Each room comes equipped with an electronic lock, a work area, and a 22-inch LCD television with satellite channels, direct-dial telephone including STD facility, a mini-fridge and a tea/coffee maker. The hotel also has a multi-cuisine restaurant and a coffee shop.
