The Holiday Inn brand has opened the Holiday Inn Resort Krabi Ao Nang Beach in Thailand at the former Sala Talay Resort. Situated on one of Thailand's well-known holiday locations, the resort adds another 55 rooms to Holiday Inn's existing 3,293 rooms across the country, with another 133 to be added via a new wing by October 2013.
The new wing will house the brand's renowned Holiday Inn KidSuites, offering separate sleeping berths and other facilities for families. The kids' section of the suite will be equipped with bunk beds and a play corner, including a flat screen TV, a DVD player, a game console, electronic games and toy boxes. "While we cater to all travellers seeking an idyllic getaway and ensure every guest has the best experience at our resort, the addition of the Holiday Inn KidSuites will further enhance our commitment to family guests," said Steve Ng, General Manager, Holiday Inn Resort Krabi Ao Nang Beach.
The facilities at the hotel include an outdoor free-form swimming pool, a fitness centre, a kid's club and a well-stocked book and DVD library in the resort centre. The resort also offers a range of holistic Thai massages and treatments at its spa. A range of dishes from across Asia are served at InAsia, the resort's restaurant.
Presently, the resort features four room types, ranging between 45 sq metres and 95 sq metres. The 19 deluxe rooms offer 45 sq metres of free living space and balcony views, while the 21 pool access rooms offer ground floor living accommodation. The hotel also offers a 13 65-sq-metre Grand Deluxe Suites and two Penthouse Suites of 95 sq metres of space, according to a report in travmedia.com.
Introductory rates at the Holiday Inn Resort Krabi Ao Nang Beach start from THB 3,400 per room, per night. Further, Holiday Inn also launched its "Stay Happy-Go-Lucky" promotion, offering 30 per cent off on hotel stays at destinations across South East Asia. Some of the hotels where the offer can be availed are Holiday Inn Resort Phuket Mai Khao Beach, Holiday Inn Resort Krabi Ao Nang Beach, Holiday Inn Bangkok, Holiday Inn Resort Penang, Holiday Inn Resort Baruna Bali, and Holiday Inn Singapore Orchard City Centre. This promotion is valid from November 14, 2012 to February 28, 2013.
