InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) has opened the first-ever Holiday Inn Express in Singapore on Orchard Road. The 221-room hotel is the first of two Holiday Inn Express hotels planned for the country as part of the brand’s rapid expansion across South East Asia, a release stated.
Holiday Inn Express Singapore Orchard Road offers Wi-Fi throughout the property, Free Express Start breakfast bar, and a self-service business centre and laundry room, among other facilities. The hotel is offering a special opening rate starting at SGD 198 per night, for stays until November 30, 2013.
Mark Winterton, Area General Manager, Holiday Inn Express Singapore and Malaysia, said, "Savvy travellers are constantly seeking a high-quality experience that provides all the essentials they need to be self-reliant and make the most of their trip. We are very excited to be the first Holiday Inn Express hotel in Singapore where guests can expect a fuss-free and refreshing stay with guaranteed comfort and convenience at a reasonable price."
Clarence Tan, Chief Operating Officer South East Asia and Resorts, IHG, said, “Globally, Holiday Inn Express is one of the largest and fastest growing brands in the industry and, in South East Asia, the brand has a particularly bright future ahead.
We are confident that Holiday Inn Express will do well in Singapore, whether guests are here for a quick stopover or longer trip, for business or for leisure.”
Holiday Inn Express Singapore Orchard Road is the third Holiday Inn Express hotel in South East Asia, joining two sister hotels in Thailand—Holiday Inn Express Phuket Patong Beach Central, and Holiday Inn Express Bangkok Siam. Holiday Inn Express Singapore Clarke Quay will come up in the first quarter of 2014.
