Carlson, a global hospitality and travel company, today announced the appointment of Scott Meyer, vice president, Franchise Operations, Country Inns & Suites By Carlson, Carlson Hotels, Americas, to serve as interim leader, Midscale Brands, Carlson Hotels, Americas.Meyer will take on the expanded interim role on January 16 and report directly to Thorsten Kirschke, chief operating officer, Carlson Hotels, and president, Carlson Hotels, Americas. Meyer will be responsible for overseeing Carlson Hotels’ midscale brands, Country Inns & Suites By CarlsonSM and Park Inn by Radisson in the Americas, as former leader Steve Mogck has decided to take on a new career opportunity with the Moody Bible Institute, a major non-profit organization based in Chicago.
