Ayana Hospitality, the recently signed JV between Mumbai-based ICS Group and South Africa-based Mantis Developments, plans to add 30 hotels in the luxury boutique hotels space in India over the next 10 years. Out of these, three are slated for opening in the current year.
Speaking exclusively to India Hospitality Review, Akhil Behl, CEO, Ayana Hospitality Pvt Ltd., said, “Our vision is to become the number 1 player in Indian luxury boutique segment.
We plan to have at least 3 operational hotels this year and around 30 in the next 10 years.”
As per reprots, the first project will be a ten room luxury safari lodge at Pench National Park, Maharashtra priced at approximately Rs 25,000 a room per night.
Additionally, Ayana Hospitality is targeting markets in Kerala, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Himachal, Uttarakhand, Lakshwadeep & Andaman for expansion.
“Our hotels are mostly out of city projects and hence we will not be addressing the opportunity in tier 2 cities/markets but will be focused on all nature destinations. Our JV has a mandate to address all countries in Southeast Asia. Tourism is gaining importance across India and what we have to offer will be eagerly received,” he said.
